@TechTalker34 Wow. That’s observant of you! That’s when it was released as an official episode as an official YouTube show, and not just a video.

@daanbrg Mine actually died right after the last shoot before I went HD! How crazy is that?!

I wanted to give it away…. Bummer. I’ll have to come up with something else!

Western Digital harddrives are awful, I had a similar wd drive and it just randomly stopped working.

@thedevirkahan Weird! When I put the video on 480p or 720p I suddenly works! Super clean set-up man! I’m buying a MacBook Pro 15″ soon. :)

@thedevirkahan I know PD / Flip still sells it, but I thought that you might have a discount price – Flip is still selling it for full price, I think that’s a bit overexpensive for a wobbly pocket camera that doesn’t shoot HD. But I don’t want HD, which makes me think why the price is so high.

@Ace1749 Most asked for thing on the YouTube page, and a few things did change too! I usually only want to do it once a year, as stated in the show.

@Tiimen I don’t know why! Upsetting. Where do you live, btw? That may have an effect on this….

Hey Devir, how many minutes can the old Flip record? I might be interested in buying the old one – I can’t edit HD video anyways :P

@Ace1749 Ok than, let’s talk about how you encode your videos. I use H.264 with a multi-pass at best quality for the video. My video size is 1280×720. I encode my audio in AAC format, stereo, at 48 kHz, render settings: Best, with a bit rate of 256 kbps. I can still use my computer 100% like I did before I was encoding the video. I load applications just as fast, and I surf the web just as fast. I don’t leave my computer for 5-10 minutes while it encodes, I use it like I normally use it.

    @catchatyou I agree.

If you want to talk more about this please send me a message, I feel sort of bad for leaving all of these comments on Devir’s video.

Devir you can delete all of this if you want, im sure that if Catchatyou wants to talk further he can send me a PM.

@Ace1749 I use Windows fairly often, and I dislike viruses, and the virus software monitoring all of your files, because it slows down your computer. I do like some of the features in Windows 7, like shaking the windows to close any background ones, and drag to edge resize, but two things that they’re missing are Exposé and Spaces. If they had that, I might consider using Windows more often. I know that Macs aren’t for everyone, but Apple does a good job with keeping their customer happy.

@catchatyou lol that really isn’t saying much. Try running Crysis at full settings and then get back to me. Oh wait… you can’t play Crysis on a Mac!

One more thing, I make video game walkthroughs and each part has commentary, a 10 second edited intro, and is anywhere from 10:00 – 10:30 in length. THIS takes me 25 minutes to render. I don’t think you know what fast is.

@Ace1749 I do understand that for gamers, you are more likely to use Windows, because there are more games out there for it. Mark my words, within 5 years Macs will be a great gaming computer (thanks to Steam). I don’t like when people say that Macs aren’t powerful, because you’re looking at the wrong products. If you want a powerful computer, than you want the Mac Pro. I’ve never been on (or read about) a faster computer when it’s maxed out. The price is also very similar to competitors.

@Ace1749 I downloaded Portal when it was free, and it works fine with the settings maxed out on my previous generation iMac 20″. I make HD videos, and they render just fine. About 3-4 minutes takes a half in hour or less. That’s not slow. Maybe if you use the Macbook Air, it would be slow. Through my (and my dad, sister, and almost mom’s) opinion, files load *way* faster on a Mac. My dad’s exact words, “I switched to a Mac, because I was sick of my PC being slow and not doing what I want.”

    @catchatyou
Macs are not gaming computers and are not exactly ideal for rendering HD videos. That’s exactly what I need in a computer! Macs are definitely better for the majority of computer users, but if you want a computer with speeds that will blow your socks off of you (but not your wallet), a PC is a better choice. With that said, I really don’t want to get into a full on Mac vs. PC argument lol.

oh btw I was mistaken, I was thinking about Final Cut Pro (I thought that FCP = iMovie >_<)

@Ace1749 Macs are built for simple users, and also high end advanced users. They also have a lot of performance in them. Now that that’s out of the way, iMovie is the equivalent to WMM on a PC. I’m pretty sure that most true video editors know that WMM is not that good at all. For a free video editor, iMovie has to be at the top. I use iMovie HD 6 (and LiveType). I really liked the whole timeline thing while it lasted. iMovie 09 has a lot more features than you would think. Just try it.

This isn’t a Mac vs. Pc argument. You can use Sony Vegas on a Mac…
I personally have Windows 7, but that is just because I do a lot of recording. Programs that I use to record are not compatible with OSX.

    Performance and compatibility- Windows
Design, ease of use, lack of viruses – OSX

If OSX was compatible with more programs it would be way better than Windows 7 (but then the whole virus thing comes into play). Overall, OSX is slightly better.

Wait, why did you do another desk tour if nothing has changed?
Not trying to be rude or anything, but don’t you think that these desk tours lose their meaning if you do them so much that they are practically the same?

Good setup though, we are remodeling my room atm and it should be done in a week. Im going to record a setup video as well ^_^

standing on the front desk backwards to the guest!
making the guest wait without even proper apology!
doesn’t say the hotel name and his position when picking up the phone!
doesn’t offer help with the luggage
saying “see ya” to the guest!!!!!
    terrible!!!!!!!

Whenever sonebody asks for a key, I always askfor ID, even if I know the person. I am a baseball fan, and one of my hero’s has always been TOMMY LASORDA. When he stayed at my hotel, even though I was dying to ask for an autograph, it was against the rules. I even had to ask him for ID whenhe lost his key. I was going to “borrow” his registration card for my personal collection, but he had his business manager sign it instead!

@Zina011 -It’s a safety issue. You never know who is watching or listening. Even if there is no one else in the lobby. I would never say a room number out loud. Especially if it is a lone female.

What’s wrong with wearing iPod to work if he uses the employee entrance and leaves it in the locker room?

I had no idea you’re not supposed to say the room number out loud, it’s actually a part of the procedure at a four-star hotel I used to work.

I’m guessing that changing into his work clothes once he gets there is supposed to be one of the “sins” but I don’t see a problem with that at all…

@DJChibbs we have people that come in late all the time and I don’t get how they keep their jobs plus they sit in the back office when people are in the lobby and they don’t finish the laundry even though 3/4 of their shift they have nothing to do it’s so crazy
